Sometimes we get so caught up in the “business”, we lost sight of what inspired us in the first place. While you’re making time to tweet, update that bio, send out your resume, make time to create. Which doesn’t only mean going to class. Do what you love! Today I’m working on a monologue pulled from the pages of one of my favorite books, The Kitchen God’s Wife by Amy Tan. Not a character I’d ever be cast as, but I love Amy Tan’s words and the women she creates. It feeds me creatively to breathe life into them – even for an audience of one.
Don’t let anyone steal your joy..including YOU.
